# VRTs — Visual Regression Tests for WordPress

> VRTs is a visual regression testing plugin for WordPress. It automatically captures and compares screenshots of selected website pages, helping website managers, freelancers, agencies, and organizations find unintended visual changes before visitors do.

VRTs detects visual regressions caused by WordPress core and plugin updates, deployments, code changes, templates, and third-party integrations. Tests can run on a schedule, after updates, manually, or through the API, depending on the selected plan. Results are reviewed inside WordPress, and email notifications alert the appropriate users when changes need attention.

Testing is performed on external servers in Europe. Screenshot and comparison URLs are returned to the connected WordPress website, while only essential metadata is stored in its database. VRTs does not collect personal data from the tested website.

The plugin supports WordPress sites using custom themes or page builders, as well as multisite networks. Configuration options can click elements such as cookie-banner buttons, hide dynamic elements by CSS selector, choose screenshot sizes, customize notifications, and flag false positives.
